Inzain Mallorca Camp Easter 2022

INZAIN invites you to a magical Easter in Mallorca

Easter is an ideal time to cycle in Mallorca. Warm but not hot, fantastic roads and easy to mix flat tours with serious slopes. We dispose of the house 8-18 April and can thus use the Easter days off optimally. It is fine to come down and travel home whenever you want, but we have the same price for everyone.

Here you can read a bit about our latest trip there Ride Report Inzain Gravel Mallorca Fall 2021

Gravel and tarmac

Mallorca is known to many as a cycling paradise, with nice roads, good weather and friendly people. We ourselves have been there many times and cycled by road, but what not as many people know is that the island is also fantastic for gravel cycling.

We have been there and drawn up nice tours and got a feel for the gravel, established contact with guides, bike rental companies and not least found fantastic accommodation for several years. We were looking for a place that is centrally located so that both the plateau and the mountains can be reached without monotonous transport cycling. A home that is personal and that offers natural opportunities for socializing, just as much or as little as everyone wants. Hotels can easily become rather impersonal and not always so pleasant. Now, almost five years on, we have found the right one.

Alaró & Can Fressa

We live centrally in Alaró, a prosperous typical Mallorcan village. No tourist shops as far as the eye can see. We have the village square and meeting point within 50 meters with many restaurants, bars and cafes. If you want fresh bread in the morning, you pop down to the bakery, which is also located by the square, and there are several grocery stores within walking distance.

Alaró is ideally located for cycling, at the foot of Orientbacken. It is close to all mountains and plains. In addition, the Gravel routes basically start outside the gate.

Can Fressa is a private Mansion that is divided into a number of apartments spread over three floors. There is a fantastic garden with a pool and many patios and balconies. There are several grills and the house has its own wine cellar(!), where we will have wine tasting with Tapas. New for this year is that we have access to an even bigger kitchen across the street.

A Yoga room with both mats and blocks is available and the large kitchens are fully equipped. There is a washing machine, wifi and many living areas as well as very comfortable beds. Our hostess Helga pampers us and helps with big and small things. Bed linen is changed once a week and the common areas are cleaned daily. We look after the kitchen ourselves.

Guids: Risto Aalto and Gerry Askefalk have done many trips on Gravel and asphalt. In Sweden as well as in Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Kansas and many other places. We have established cooperation with local guides and created routes that are pleasant and moderately difficult. We are on all tours and in addition our local guide, Martin is on some tours. The basis of our philosophy is that it should be safe and that everyone should have fun. We never leave anyone alone and makes sure that everyone comes along, regardless of form or difficulty. If someone needs to shorten or cancel the tour, we will solve it.

The week
You choose day by day what you want to cycle. We will have ready-made routes for both gravel and country roads, choose day by day what suits you. For some of the tours we take our own bus or train. Most of the tours will be able to be shortened and in some cases you can choose to stand over a climb.

In addition to the fantastic accommodation, routes and guiding included:

  • Fresh bread every morning, straight from the local bakery.
  • Tapas with wine and lectures in sa Portassa, the house's own wine cellar.
  • A Mallorcan farewell dinner in the house.
  • A better pasta dinner at home
  • Cleaning of common areas.
  • A barbecue dinner in the house
  • Change bed linen once in the period.
  • Photobomb with all our photos available after the trip
  • Routes and guiding
  • Two tours with our own gravel guide, Martin Jaume.

Fyou arrange your own meals and other meals, there is plenty of fridge and cooking equipment in the house. We usually mix going out and cooking at home, it's quite fun to prepare good food together, wine can be bought directly in the house from the wine cellar said Portassa or in the local shop

We help coordinate this to and from the Airport. Some tours require transfers that we coordinate. Cost is added.

For those who want, we can arrange a shorter mountain tour on one of the days that ends with a wine tasting at the fantastic Ses Rotes. We then have transport arranged to take us and our bikes back to Alaro.

Gear: Ideally, you take your gravel bike with one or two pairs of wheels or your racer. Last, Gerry had the 52mm WTB Sendero and it was overkill on almost everything. Gerry will choose 40mm with a light pattern next time. Risto drove with lightly patterned Zipp Tangente Course G40 Folding all week, which worked excellently on both asphalt and gravel. Tubeless is recommended, of course, as well as a good kit with reserves on the bike, Click here for a list.

Foot pump and tools are in the house or can be borrowed from us. Clothing is the norm for Swedish summer, with a vest/sleeves or windbreaker as a spare and when driving downhill if it gets cold. We will have coffee and lunch but a little extra energy is never wrong (it can also be bought at the local bike shop). If you're worried, a portable mini lock can come with you on the tours, but I've never heard of anyone losing their bike during coffee here. There is a washing machine, as well as good drying facilities.

Routes: All routes will be shared some time before departure and will also be downloadable on site.
