Here is some information about the places, villages and cities we visit and live in during the Inzain Tuscany Tour 2022.
Piss
Pisa is perhaps best known for its Leaning Tower, but has much more to offer.
Restaurants, museums and much much more.
We will cycle along the Arno River on our way out of Pisa.
Keith Haring's Mural is equally famous and maybe a good place for a group photo?
Volterra
Athe alabaster city of Volterra, a Tuscan gem, with both a Roman amphitheater and a fairytale fort.
Vallebuona is an archaeological area dating back to the 100s before Christ. Here are the remains of the city's large amphitheater and also the ruins of a large Roman bath. The amphitheater is one of the largest remaining in Italy
Volterra is relatively empty of tourists and there are endless Gelato and Cafés to choose from.
Siena
Siena is surrounded by a very long wall with citadel and nine gates, lie irregularly on three interconnected ridges and naturally consists of three districts: Terzo di Città in the southwest, Terzo di Santo Martino in the southeast and Terzo di Camollia in the north. The streets are narrow, crooked and hilly, surrounded by many beautiful palaces, squares and churches
The square Piazza del Campo was once a Roman marketplace. It is lined with outdoor seating and slopes down towards the impressive Gothic town hall with its 102 m high bell tower, Torre del Mangia. More than 500 steps lead up to the top with its fantastic view.
San Quirico d'Orcia
Nice small town but many small cozy shops. As soon as you get outside the walls themselves, there are fantastic views.
A fantastic little town right in the heart of Tuscany. Adorable view and wonderful food.
Poggibonsi
Poggibonsi was once considered Italy's most beautiful town, but unfortunately it has been destroyed. Now there is a beautiful, slightly more modern city, but which is still characterized by the typical Tuscan style.
Cecina
On the shores of the Mediterranean Sea lies Cecina.
The city is characterized by its port and its location. This is a slightly larger city and the range of restaurants and other things is large.
