Cheeses, charcuterie and of course local desserts. The Pyrenees stand out not only for their countless beautiful roads and mountain climbs, but also for the many delicious culinary specialties that come from here. We will pass through several valleys that are named after the cheese that is made there.
Tomme des Pyrénées cheese
This pressed or semi-hard uncooked curd cheese, made from pasteurized cow's milk, is distinguished by its yellow-red or black rind, which makes it so easy to recognize, and carries the protected geographical indication IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée) since 1996! Having trouble choosing between the two? Taste a bit of both and see what you come up with!
