What can you expect? A really nice weekend on very nice gravel roads in good company and with good food and coffee. We live in a beautiful place, have a good breakfast and eat a better three-course dinner on Saturday night. You buy lunch, coffee etc. yourself, the route comes to nice places for that.
Saturday We start directly from Kjesäter's castle and cycle south. Lakes, forest and cultural landscape, it's good variety. We pass the western tip of Tissnaren and reach Hallonviken via Bränntorp and Ölnetorp. Propaganda roads! We then pass the Magnehult nature reserve. Lunch will be in Rejmyre. We eat at the Pizzeria. The Gestgiferiet is closed. Why not take the opportunity to take a look at the Glasbrukets museum? After lunch you can choose a slightly shorter route, then you take the bail below, it reconnects to the long route after about 4 miles and shortens the trip by about 4 miles. The journey continues towards Breven's mill near the lake and on excellent roads. When using the letters, you can have an extra coffee or snack if desired and then take the last three miles back to our castle. Once there, a beer will probably sit pretty well. A shower and then a better three-course dinner.
Bail for Saturday Shortens the trip by about 4 miles. Straight north via the Sverigeleden with a few detours. Meet the long route which you then follow to our castle, maybe a beer and then a good dinner.
Sunday We start in Flen, which means car transport from the accommodation to Flen. Parking at the Hammarvallen sports hall parking or shuttle parking outside the train station. When we have left the central town, we cycle through the forest down towards Malsta to continue in open countryside to Kvarnen Café and Antikt for an early cup of coffee if we want. The journey continues along the lakes to Tofta Gård on the way to today's Lunch Ställe The forge. After lunch you can make the choice to drive a shorter route, then you take Bailen below which takes you to Flen in 40km, a reduction of about 2 miles. If you choose to drive the entire tour, it continues past Katrineholm and makes an arc to the west to then go to Bie. From there we cycle over Granhed back to Flen.
Sunday Bail If you want to drive a little shorter, you choose this from the lunch place. It goes around the lakes again and takes us to the Sverigeleden, from which it makes a series of detours on fin's gravel stretches. Then it goes via Norrtorp back to Flen.
We cycle according to Grusets Vänner's principles. We cycle to have fun, there are no intervals and it is not about cycling the fastest but having the best experience. If you want to splurge, it's of course fine, you wait further on. We may also split the group, if it turns out to be better. Our Guides have a lot of experience in arranging and holding these tours.
* No one is left alone. * Sprint or peel off if you like but let the group catch up again * We take care of and help each other in case of mechanival issues. * We bike safely and keep our distance, remember the "three second rule" especially on gravel. * It's all about having the nicest of days.
