This year's novelty will of course also be included next summer 2024! Nice that more people will get to experience the fine roads, incredibly good food and top-class accommodation.
Prepare for everything from seas, lush forests, open fields and classic cities. Bilbao, San Sebastian, Biarritz and Pamplona with all its award-winning restaurants and cozy alleyways need no further description.

This year's novelty will be part of the program and make our summer tour with the trailer complete. We have created a route starting and ending in Biarritz, which allows us to access all the most famous roads, cities and places in the Basque Country.
The fact that Rioja is the world's largest wine producer and the world's largest wine region has surely not escaped anyone. No coincidence that we spend the night at one of the most famous vineyards already on day 2.
As usual, we have at least two different speed groups with different start times in the morning.
And on this trip we have set the level of accommodation, drinks and food even higher. Which is easy to do in the Basque Country.

All accommodations on this trip are carefully selected and tested. High standard in all hotels. We often live in buildings with a very long and ancient history. And which are at the same time well renovated and maintained. The spectrum is wide, from luxurious vineyards in Rioja, rural idyll outside Mundaca, to castles down by the river in Bilbao. Wonderful and exciting to have these different goals every day on your bike.

The Basque Country is best known for its food culture and its tapas-like pintxos. There are also three three-star Michelin restaurants in the country, all in the province we pass through and visit. Many people call San Sebastián the capital of food, and of course we make a stop and spend the night there.

Cycling in the Basque Country is absolutely wonderful! Shifting and verdant landscape with few cars. We start down on the Atlantic coast in Biarritz and aim for Pamplona and our first destination in Spain. When we then roll back into Biarritz, we have experienced days with everything from forest roads to open landscapes with wonderful views. It is not difficult to understand why in many places here it is considered the national sport.

The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is an art museum for modern art. Beautifully located down by the river Nervion. The museum, which has attracted a lot of attention, is said to have contributed to the great rise in the area. And the large influx of visitors. Wine tasting in Rioja is another highlight.
