Mallorca Food

Food

You pay for all food and coffee yourself. We will have the option of catering in the house, cooking ourselves or going out to eat. Across the street from our accommodation, our hostess Helga has opened a cafe that offers both breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don't want to cook yourself.

A nice feature is that we can cook together one evening during the stay, we divide ourselves into groups which in turn are responsible for different parts such as starter, main course and dessert. It will be both festive and socially appreciated.

There is a private kitchen, plenty of fridge/freezer and cooking equipment in the house, as well as several grills out in the garden.

Wine tasting

One of the evenings there is an opportunity for homemade Tapas and wine tasting with lectures. can Fressa café is just across the street and has excellent food for both breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Wine can be bought directly in the house from the wine cellar "Portassa said” or at the local store.

Grocery stores

There are at least three grocery stores within walking distance (a few hundred meters) from our accommodation. One of these is more like a "7-11" that is open even during Easter holidays. The other two have more normal Spanish opening hours and a larger selection:

Supermarket Coaliment - Generous opening hours: Every day 08:30 - 22:30
Beep Beep Supermarkets - Close! Open: Mon-Fri 08:30-20:30, Sat 09:00-20:30, Sun Closed
Eroski City – Good assortment Open: Mon-Sat 09:00-21:00, Sun Closed

Restaurants

There are several good restaurants in the vicinity of our accommodation, either down on the square (50 -150m) or a little further away at a reasonable walking distance. A favorite is El Trastero, which offers Argentinian steaks as a specialty. Another favorite is Pizzeria La Bufala.

Fresh bread

There are also two bakeries with fresh bread for breakfast within a 100 m radius... 🙂
