About Majorca

Mallorca has a very varied landscape, with high mountain peaks, large plains and long beaches. In the Tramuntana Mountains (Sierra de Tramuntana) is the island's highest peak, Puig Major, 1,436 m above sea level.

The island has everything you could wish for! Sun, beaches, excursions, golf courses, hiking and biking trails, nightlife, culture, shopping, etc.

It is the largest of the islands in the Balearic Islands group which is located in the western part of the Mediterranean Sea and belongs to Spain. The other islands in the group are Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. Mallorca is slightly larger than Gotland and is approximately 10 x 8 miles.

The majority of the island's population, about 70 % live on tourism, about 20 % on agriculture and the rest on industry, which mostly deals with glass, ceramics and furniture.

In addition to cycling, there is much to discover. A trip down to Palma, which is a lively town with a fantastic promenade that's great for some quiet cafe cycling.
MA-10, is a road that winds around the mountains, is a thing not to be missed, why not rent a car and explore it on the violet day.
