About the Pyrenees

The length of the Pyrenees is around 435 kilometers. It stretches in an east-west direction from Bay of Biscay to Costa Brava. Its width goes up to 130 kilometers. The area is often called Europe's last wilderness, and you really feel that every time you visit. The Pyrenees are like Alps 50 to 100 million years old. But the area now differs from the Alps by having far fewer visitors and cars on the roads. However, the animal life is much richer, which you notice on a daily basis.
