The length of the Pyrenees is around 435 kilometers. It stretches in an east-west direction from\u00a0Bay of Biscay<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0Costa Brava<\/a>. Its width goes up to 130 kilometers. The area is often called Europe's last wilderness, and you really feel that every time you visit. The Pyrenees are like\u00a0Alps<\/a>\u00a050 to 100 million years old. But the area now differs from the Alps by having far fewer visitors and cars on the roads.
