Ser p\u00e5 naturen utenfor vinduet suser forbi mens jeg sakte g\u00e5r gjennom forberedelsene til turen \u2026 \u2026renset sykkelen, kj\u00f8pte kjedel\u00e5s, nytt kjede, ladet batterier, lastet ned ruter, koblet til wattm\u00e5ler og datamaskin p\u00e5 nytt, samme for pulsm\u00e5leren \u2026 \u2026 hmmm, hvor pakket la jeg fra meg datamaskinen?... ...tenker febrilsk gjennom sekken, kl\u00e6rne, verkt\u00f8yene, veskene, sykkelvesken, men kan for mitt liv ikke huske hvor jeg la datamaskinen ned... ...Hel-e! Glemte jeg datamaskinen? Jeg informerer gjengen som er der om at jeg gjerne vil sykle til Lucca da jeg fant ut at det er en sykkelbutikk der som har Wahoo i sitt sortiment. Ja, jeg m\u00e5tte da kj\u00f8pe en ny sykkelcomputer og siden Wahoo er den beste jeg vet var valget ganske opplagt. Gerry gjorde sitt beste for \u00e5 oppmuntre meg med glade utrop... ...om alternative merker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vi sklir sakte rundt p\u00e5 fine... ...eller rettere sagt veldig fine grusveier opp til sykkelbyen Lucca. Det er visstnok flere profesjonelle sykkelklubber som trener der i &quot;off-season&quot;. Lucca er en fantastisk fin liten by med mange fine kaffesteder innenfor den store ringmuren. Gerry hadde forberedt seg med en rimelig tur ned til sj\u00f8en som b\u00f8d p\u00e5 en trang runde p\u00e5 7 mil med kun 110 h\u00f8ydemeter. Det passet akkurat for meg fordi det var noe annet jeg ogs\u00e5 hadde glemt hjemme... ...trening! \u2013 Hadde i grunnen ikke r\u00f8rt sykkelen min siden sist p\u00e5ske, da vi var p\u00e5 Mallis og syklet. Jeg var uendelig takknemlig for \u00e5 kunne mykstarte p\u00e5 denne m\u00e5ten.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det var imidlertid en liten gruppe som satte seg for \u00e5 g\u00e5 til Lucca &quot;The hard way&quot; over fjellet under deres kor. I stillhet ble jeg ganske imponert over den gjengens bragd og tenkte at dette bare kunne ende p\u00e5 \u00e9n m\u00e5te for meg. Jeg ville lide av alvorlige kramper og banket p\u00e5 hver seksjon, jeg ville bli henvist til kj\u00f8nnshj\u00f8rnet p\u00e5 bussen for \u00e5 se etter min tapte form...&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>...bussen ja, den ble kj\u00f8rt i l\u00f8pet av uken av Terje, C-J sin fantastiske kar som muntert s\u00f8rget for at all bagasjeh\u00e5ndtering, vanndepot og energidistribusjon samt fotografering og drone &quot;pilotering&quot; ble h\u00e5ndtert med velbehag. Med den holdningen og energien vil han n\u00e5 langt... En herlig morgen, kj\u00f8lig, vindstille og stille. Italienerne sover i og bare klikket fra girene v\u00e5re som skifter og ruller h\u00f8res. P\u00e5 damfyllinger langs elva Arno g\u00e5r ferden uten at vi trenger \u00e5 gj\u00f8re noen nevneverdig innsats. Det er litt sm\u00e5prat i ulike grupper og generelt hyggelig mens vi har fjellene i bakgrunnen mot nord og sletten p\u00e5 andre siden, som diket vil beskytte mot ved flom. Det er enkelt, det er grus blandet med gress. Det begynner \u00e5 bli t\u00f8ft for undertegnede. Temperaturen har ogs\u00e5 passert 25 grader, noe som er litt uvanlig for oss. I l\u00f8pet av de resterende 6 milene klemmer vi oss inn rundt 1700 h\u00f8ydemeter, som betyr <strong>280 h\u00f8ydemeter per mil<\/strong>, hvis ende gir en stigning p\u00e5 ca 450m. Mange av oss graver dypt denne f\u00f8rste dagen p\u00e5 ruten, til slutt n\u00e5r m\u00f8rket begynner \u00e5 falle p\u00e5 kommer vi til landsbyen Volterra. Vi valgte i stedet ca 10 mil asfalt. Vi fikk imidlertid meldinger via WhatsApp om at det hadde v\u00e6rt t\u00f8ft under den vanlige ruten. Ferden hadde i utgangspunktet en lang stigning p\u00e5 grus som etterp\u00e5 landet i en &quot;jungel\/regnskog&quot;. I l\u00f8pet av de siste 3-4 km fikk jeg og Riggert ukens eneste regnskvett, avkj\u00f8lende og fint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dag 3, tirsdag, Siena \u2013 San Quirco d&#039;Orcia, 67 km 1150 h\u00f8ydemeter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Siden mange hadde det vanskelig med dag 2 ogs\u00e5, \u00e5 komme for sent, hadde du kanskje ikke tid til \u00e5 g\u00e5 rundt og se noen severdigheter i Siena. Jeg ender etter hvert opp med \u00e5 sykle med \u00abDala-klyngen\u00bb mot hotellet. Vi kjemper tappert mot m\u00e5let og finner til slutt en makel\u00f8s utsikt over fjell og daler i mellom. Det er litt t\u00e5ke i luften som bidrar til atmosf\u00e6ren og solnedgangen p\u00e5 verandaen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dagens bragd var Mats Aadde som p\u00e5 grunn av noen tekniske problemer med sykkelen gikk av litt senere og derfor syklet hele dagen alene mot m\u00e5l. Ruten snur og vi drar nordover igjen mot Siena. Vi velger noen nye veier som tar oss over helt fantastiske fjell og raviner p\u00e5 begge sider av veien. Akkurat denne dagen f\u00f8ler jeg meg energisk og sterk, jeg har klart \u00e5 kjempe tilbake litt begynnende gnags\u00e5r i akterenden og kjenner ogs\u00e5 at beina har v\u00e5knet til liv etter en veldig lang pause. Jeg drar derfor litt i starten og opplever plutselig at jeg er neste alene. Mikael blir med meg og vi antar at de andre tok noen pauser underveis. Vi bestemmer oss for \u00e5 rulle sakte videre, i h\u00e5p om at de vil ta igjen oss. Uansett, vi ruller snart inn i Lunch i Aciano, en fin liten landsby langs L&#039;Eroica-ruten. Sitter og puster en stund og pr\u00f8ver \u00e5 ta innover oss alt vi har sett. Lunsj Vel, det ser ut til at italienere er veldig glad i hvitt br\u00f8d \u2026 \u2026i alle dens former. S\u00e5 lenge det er hvitt er det godt... Pizza, Bruschetta og Pane til m\u00e5ltidet osv. I dag ble det Bruschetta til lunsj. Etter noen svinger i landsbyen var han imidlertid forsvunnet og jeg tenkte at han kanskje hadde stoppet for \u00e5 vente p\u00e5 de andre eller s\u00e5 valgte han heller asfalt mot Siena... Vi hadde noen alvorlige stigninger foran oss p\u00e5 grusen n\u00e5 i l\u00f8pet av kl. andre halvdel av dagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ca 200 h\u00f8ydemeter per mil setter sine spor selv om man f\u00f8ler seg energisk... Det begynner \u00e5 g\u00e5 litt saktere og p\u00e5 ca 7 mil passeres jeg av Anders (Lisa). Anders er supersterk i oppoverbakke og etterlater meg i st\u00f8vet bak. Jeg begynner \u00e5 bli litt \u00f8m og hopper over litt grus p\u00e5 slutten, og det er derfor morsomt nok at det viser seg at Lisa-Anders faktisk passerer meg 3 ganger de siste 2 \u00bd milene.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Utfordringen p\u00e5 strekningen blir en liten HAB p\u00e5 km 84-85, som for min del f\u00f8rer gjennom et tornet kratt og \u00abJungel\u00bb hvor en Machete ville v\u00e6rt det rette redskapet. Egentlig er avstanden fra Siena til Poggibonsi i underkant av 3 mil, men Gerry hadde speidet praktfulle veier som b\u00f8d p\u00e5 b\u00e5de utfordring og nytelse. Jeg tror kanskje noen begynte \u00e5 f\u00f8le seg litt sl\u00f8ve av dagsprogrammet og satset p\u00e5 litt mer asfalt. Det er litt overskyet akkurat om morgenen og n\u00e5r vi klatrer opp g\u00e5r vi inn i selve skyen. Det er fuktig og duggdr\u00e5pene klistrer seg som sm\u00e5 perler p\u00e5 armene. Etter en stund har solen brent bort de lave skyene og temperaturen stiger raskt. En rask kaffe p\u00e5 toppen etterf\u00f8lges av str\u00e5lende natur til vi tar til venstre for \u00e5 komme inn p\u00e5 den uts\u00f8kte grusen. Noen av turens vakreste utsikt m\u00f8ter oss og vi cruiser mellom ving\u00e5rdene. I det fjerne ser vi noen vanskelige grusstigninger n\u00e6rme seg truende, men det viser seg at veien svingte av i siste \u00f8yeblikk. Tror Fredrik tok en ekstra sving opp en av de oppoverbakkene... En av dagens stigninger endte med en avslutning p\u00e5 18%-banen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uansett var dagens opplevelse litt av en jungel \u00e5 krysse med utvaskede l\u00f8ypedeler og en steinete nedoverbakke som krevde full konsentrasjon. Terje kom og m\u00f8tte fra andre siden. Terrenget var noen ganger s\u00e5 vanskelig at han trodde han syklet feil vei. Det ble en fin pause ved bilen for \u00e5 fylle p\u00e5 vann. Vi hadde bare en &quot;liten bakke&quot; \u00e5 passere i dag... mange slitne bein og noen feil i kartmaterialet gjorde at alle bakkene ikke var helt synlige p\u00e5 forh\u00e5nd. I en av disse bratte \u00absurprise-bakkene\u00bb ble vi m\u00f8tt av en saueflokk som ble drevet nedover veien av en mann i en Fiat Uno. Sauene virket stresset og lurte p\u00e5 om de skulle g\u00e5 ut p\u00e5 jordet i stedet for \u00e5 m\u00f8te oss p\u00e5 veien. Vi gjorde vennlig plass og lot b\u00e5de sauen og bonden i bilen passere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeg tok noen bilder med telefonen min, og skulle legge den fra meg igjen da jeg h\u00f8rte Piotr banne litt lenger. Jeg s\u00e5 opp p\u00e5 ham og lurte p\u00e5 hva som skjedde. Han vinket i full fart og tok noen l\u00f8pesteg... ...det var omtrent samtidig som jeg kjente den f\u00f8rste smerten. Jeg hadde noe antihistamin i n\u00f8dvesken som jeg alltid tar med meg p\u00e5 sykkelturene mine. Spratt raskt 2 tabletter og h\u00e5pet jeg ikke skulle f\u00e5 flere reaksjoner enn de sm\u00e5 hevelsene og smertene jeg n\u00e5 kjente.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeg syklet videre for \u00e5 komme til en st\u00f8rre vei. Tenkte at hvis jeg f\u00e5r en st\u00f8rre reaksjon er det nok bedre \u00e5 v\u00e6re p\u00e5 mer trafikkerte veier. Jeg tok igjen Riggert og Ricardo etter en stund. Ricardo f\u00f8ltes litt krass og ville korte ned avstanden noe og Riggert var ogs\u00e5 lei av skimmingen, s\u00e5 vi bestemte oss for at vi tar Asfalt den siste biten mot Pisa. Det passet meg perfekt da jeg fortsatt hadde mye vondt av stikket. S\u00e5 ble det litt asfalttempo for 3 personer mot det skjeve t\u00e5rnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En uforglemmelig uke gikk mot slutten. V\u00e5re herlige deltakere droppet av mot forskjellige flyreiser og andre transporter i l\u00f8pet av de neste 24 timene. Mange fantastiske minner og eventyr \u00e5 huske. Jeg vet at jeg savnet mange av dem, men jeg h\u00e5per at noe av det ovenfor kan hjelpe oss \u00e5 huske<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En spesiell ros g\u00e5r til Terje som gjorde det hele mulig!!
